Chickie #3, nicknamed Chipmunk while her Chickie Parents mulled over her official name, didn’t make it.

Despite confirmation from all the chicken information sources, and the feed store that sometimes chicks hatch but just didn't develop properly, it didn't change the guilt or the sadness felt with her loss.

Little Chickie #3 changed our approach to remaining pick ups by moving them until the weekend, when it was nearly the 1 week mark to reduce the risk of a repeat of our poor little Chipmunk.
